The UKÉGS and IGA research grant

The UK and Éire Glaucoma Society (UKÉGS) is a national scientific, and not-for-profit organisation, which holds an annual conference for specialists, clinicians and trainees concerned with managing the glaucoma patient. The 2018 annual meeting of the UKÉGS will be held in London.  

Each year, UKÉGS, with the support of the International Glaucoma Association (IGA), awards research grant(s). For 2017 we awarded research grants to Professor David Garway-Heath. For full details click here.

2018 research grants

The International Glaucoma Association (IGA) is pleased to announce a grants programme in collaboration with UK and Éire Glaucoma Society and is pleased to offer research awards up to the amount of £60,000. The closing date for applications is 28 September 2018.

Please note the acceptance of the IGA research contract is a prerequisite of applying for research funding. If any changes are proposed to the research contract, and require legal review, the costs accrued will be deducted from the research grant.
