Hi, any advice on the Xen Gel Stent your Spouse had inplanted? Did the IOP go down a lot, was it in one or both eyes, any excessive tearing, any allergic itching reaction, a feeling of something in the eye, under the eye lid, a lessening of vision, any change in prescription, etc? I was just not provided with enough details to make a decision to have this procedure done as I am afraid of scars to the eye surface etc if the Stent has to be repositioned or removed. I have hopes in the future of having Stem Cell treatments and I am watching for all info from other Countries as the USA is not doing the treatmenst or encouraging any research or Trial Studies. Any info you may give me to help with a decision would be appreciated. I hope the follow up appointments have become available for your Spouse and good luck on the outcome. Thanks, from Texas

I noticed this, I saw something saying it was limited to a number of batches and I think these were issued after my partners op.

But if sightline pick up on this I am also interested in what is the recommended review period for someone with a) a Xen implant and b) a Xen implant which has to be reoperated on because of scar tissue closing it when CDR is .9

Partner with possibly now stable eye pressure but without confirmation from field tests that this is an acceptable eye pressure was due to be re-examined after 12 weeks.  The hospital have not issued him with an appointment when it fell due and he has been told that there is a three month delay in appointments.  So that will mean someone with potential to progress would be seen a six month interval.  Frustratingly this hospital is quoted as an example of good management in the HSIB recent report.

NICE guidelines say they should be regularly re-checked but don't say what the interval should be.

Any one talked to their Dr. about the recall lately? The FDA bulletin Dec 4, 2019 was latest and I talked to Allergan Jan 9, 2020 and asked but they avoided me and said to ctc my Provider.
