How a simple eye test saved my Life

Had around 45 mins till my kids finished school. Specsavers had a same day, free eye test in Liverpool So ended up going for a eye test.

On entering the store they took my details and asked if I wanted to do a OCT scan for £10. went for the offer. long story short the trainee optometrist seen something in the image and got a second opinion.

Was refered straight to hospital was a bit worried or was it fate. They carried out futher checks and told me I had fluid on the brain and was dangerously high, needed draining. Left hospital on medication for life and was told if I didnt have the eye test I could of went blind in a matter of weeks.
