Glaucoma is an eye disease that is often associated with elevated intraocular pressure, in which damage to the eye (optic) nerve can lead to loss of vision and even blindness. Glaucoma is the leading cause of irreversible blindness in the world.

I am 35 and was diagnosed with glaucoma when I was a 6 month old baby. I was living in Africa and it was difficult to get good care including surgery and eye drops. I was referred to the clinic in Munich, Germany and they tried their best. Eventually I had to seek treatment in the States which went very well. However, like we all know, sight loss is irreversible. I cant drive and I have to sit in front in class which I dislike. Maybe we could share here about our struggles. Another thing is that I wear thick glasses which look weird. Regards, Ken.
