Has anyone got any reassuring words for me? I've just been told my eye pressures are worrying (Left eye 28 and right eye 30) and that I need to see a specialist. I haven't got any eye damage or loss of visual field but I realise that this could eventually happen. I am very frightened and am hoping there are people out there who know about this or have experienced this and can put my mind at rest a bit that it can be treated and that I am not going to lose my sight. HELP!!!!

The pressure in one of my eyes was 59 at one point just over 3 years ago... and I can still see out of it. Admittedly there is some damage, and I can't see as well out of it as my other eye, but it was always my weaker eye anyway, so it doesn't bother me much. My point though, is that your pressures aren't obscenely high, and as your visual field is fine at the moment, I think the problem has been caught in time and you'll be fine. When do you see the specialist?
