Someone to talk to

The IGA operates its own telephone advice line, called Sightline (Tel. 01233 64 81 70) which is open from 9.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. If you have glaucoma, or think you may be at risk, you can phone us to discuss your concerns and to receive sound advice on what to do to protect your sight.

Our website also gives you the opportunity to ask questions to other patients and their relatives via its Discussion Area.

All year around the IGA organises meetings aimed at patients, their relatives, friends and carers as well as anyone else who has an interest in glaucoma.

These are a great opportunity for patients to meet, share their experience and listen to lectures by key medical professionals involved in the management of glaucoma patients.

Reports of past meetings can be found in our magazine, the IGA News, which is sent quarterly to our members or can be downloaded on this website (click on the Newsletters tab above to download PDFs).

The IGA is a leading pioneer in glaucoma research funding. We support a range of urgently-needed clinical research projects to learn more about the causes of glaucoma and find more effective ways to prevent or treat it. This vital work offers real hope that, step by step, we can free many thousands of people from the danger of glaucoma blindness.

There are 4 types of individual memberships available to support the IGA

- by Direct Debit, just give us a call on 01233 64 81 64 and we will send you the appropriate forms

Friends:

For an annual subscription of £17.50 (£15.00 when paying by Direct Debit), you will receive:

» Quarterly newsletters featuring the latest facts and viewpoints about glaucoma

» Invitations to 2 Free Open meetings (Lecture + Q&A sessions) every year with glaucoma specialist speakers

» Details of Support Groups in your area

For a single subscription of £250.00 you will receive the same benefits as a Friend for your lifetime!

I would like to become a Life Friend

Members:

For an annual subscription of £17.50 (£15.00 when paying by Direct Debit), you will receive the same benefits as a Friend, plus:

» An invitation to the Annual General Meeting (AGM)

» The chance to place resolutions forward at the AGM which will help determine the policies of the Association

» The right to vote at the AGM

» Eligibility for election to the Council of the Association

» The IGA Annual Report & Accounts, including minutes of the AGM

Life Members:

For a single subscription of £250.00 you will receive the same benefits as a Member for your lifetime!

I would like to become a Life Member

Members and Life Members of the Association are liable for a maximum of £5 in the event that the International Glaucoma Association should become insolvent.
