Purchasing agreement

IGA Shop Terms and Conditions - January 2011

The following terms and conditions apply to all orders for the purchase of goods from the online IGA Shop.

You may only place an order for goods if you agree to these terms and conditions. By placing an order you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions relating to your order. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

By pressing the button "Send Order", you declare that you accept the Declaration and Terms of use of the IGA Websites which are an integral part of the present Terms of Purchase.

Credit card charges are made in Pounds Sterling or Euros according to your selection.


This site is administered by the International Glaucoma Association (Charity registered in England & Wales No. 274681 and in Scotland N° SC041550, Registered Company No. 1293286) and trades only to raise funds for the IGA's charitable objectives.


When you submit your order, you are permitting the IGA to use your personal details to fulfil your order. If for any reason there is a problem with your order, we will communicate with you by email, telephone or letter.

Prices may vary during the year.

The supply of goods from this website is subject to availability and we are not always able to inform you at the time you place your order whether the goods you require are still available. In the event of the goods being unavailable, we will offer you the alternatives of selecting an alternative item or asking for a full refund.


We aim to deliver your goods to you within 28 days from the time we receive your order. Please allow this period before querying a non-delivery.

Deliveries can be made to any address in the UK or overseas. We do not deliver to PO Boxes.

We use Royal Mail, Parcelforce or other couriers to make deliveries. Please be aware that parcels can be bulky and if your order is large you should ensure that someone is available to receive the parcel or give alternative delivery instructions when placing your order.

Postage and packing is calculated on the basis of the total amount of your order.

Damaged or Faulty Goods

The IGA Shop supplies goods which are guaranteed to be durable and reliable. In the event that a product purchased from us proves to be unsatisfactory due to defective workmanship or faulty material, you can return it to us for a replacement or full refund.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

Order Cancellations

In accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you are entitled to a cooling-off period of seven working days from the day after your goods are delivered. If you no longer wish to keep your items, you have the unconditional right to cancel your order. Any unwanted items must be returned complete with packaging and in an un-used and re-saleable condition. You must inform us by telephoning our IGA Shop Administration Team (01233 64 81 64), and a full refund will be issued within 30 days of cancellation following the return of the unwanted item.

Please note that you will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us unless the item has been delivered in error.
