Glaucoma is a relatively common eye disease that can, if untreated, lead to blindness. This International English web site presents the latest results from research and clinical practice regarding the causes, consequences and treatment possibilities of glaucoma. It is directed to those afflicted with this desease and the interested lay reader, as well as to students, family practitioners and care-providers.

The International English Section of this site is based on the book Glaucoma by Professor Josef Flammer M.D., Head of the University Eye Institute in Basel, Switzerland.
